I’m back to take a look at what worked and didn’t work for my March intentions and share what I’m doing in April to help reach my goals by the end of 2018
You can read more about my 2018 goals and intentions in this post.
1. 2018 goal: Less screen time, more learning
-March intention: Read another book and find find 2 podcasts that interest me.
-Done. I read Crazy Rich Asians (I loved it so much I bought the sequel to it for April). I started a list on my phone of podcast recommendations that I either come across or others have recommended to me. For April I’m going to knock out the sequel to Crazy Rich Asians and then download and start listening to the podcasts on my daily commute.
-April intention: Read another book and explore the podcast recs I’ve come across.
2. 2018 goal:Organize and simplify
-March intention: Organize our dining room cupboards. When we moved in we just stashed away all the random crap we didn’t know what to do with in that cupboard. Download phone pictures from March onto my computer
-Done. I got rid of two big boxes of “junk” that was just stashed away in those cupboards too! It felt so good to pair down our stuff and reorganize those cabinets. Part of this goal is to get rid of the clutter and stuff that we no longer find useful.
-Downloaded pictures onto computer. Done.
-April intention: Organize our master bathroom and get rid of un-used products that are just taking up space. Download phone pictures from April onto my computer at the end of the month.
3. 2018 goal: Finish our space
-March intention: Finish our Master bathroom. Decor wise, the only thing I want to finish is the shower curtain DIY I’ve had in the back of my mind since we moved in (inspiration)
-Not done. Didn’t even touch this one, so I’ll continue the goal into March and make some progress on it.

4. 2018 goal: Adulting (fun I know.)
-March intention: Finish my taxes. Continue to follow our budget.
-Half done. Taxes are finished, but I’m waiting for us to finish EAT’s taxes so I can add them to my personal taxes since EAT is a partnership. Also, it’s nice having a budget to follow!
-April intention: Completely finish taxes. Continue to follow our budget. Get a haircut. It’s silly that I have to put this on here, I joke with my hair dresser that I come in twice a year for my bi-yearly hair cut ha!
5. 2018 Goal: Grow EAT healthy designs
-March intention: Figure out what shirts need to be reprinted and a budget for reprinted those products. Post more regularly on social media (2x/week on Facebook and 4x/week on Instagram)
-Half way done. We found a new printer for our shirt and have a rough budget for reprinting our shirts and know which shirts need to be reprinted. I’m slacking on the posting part of this goal.
-April intention: Go through with reprinting new shirts and continue my goal of positing on social media (2x/week on Facebook and 4x/week on Instagram)
6. 2018 Goal: Continue to choose non toxic products that work for us.
-March intention:We’re at the end of our TIDE laundry detergent, so I’m going to make the switch to Seventh Generation laundry detergent (found at Target) and test it out for a couple months.
-Done. We’ve been using the new laundry detergent for a good couple weeks now and neither of us have complains about it. So I’m calling it a win in our book. This detergent is more pricy that the tide we used to get but sometimes Target will have a coupon for it in the Cartwheel app!
-April intention: This months non toxic goal isn’t a product we are going to switch out, but its going to be to use less plastic bags so its non toxic for the Earth (win!). I’ll be the first to admit we go through a lot of plastic zip lock baggies.
7. 2018 Goal: Move More
-March intention: Continue to hit the gym 3x/week, and take 20 minutes to stretch 3x/week before bed.
-Not done and done. I think I said it last month that it was easier to go to the gym when you have someone holding you accountable and going with you. Well, Travis has been dealing with lower back pain for awhile now and it flared up mid March. He didn’t want to go to the gym and aggravate it, so it was hard for me to want to go without him. Instead we went on walks in place of gym time. Also, we were gone a lot in March and that messed with our gym schedule. We’ve both been taking time before bed to stretch and I think that’s really helping T’s back pain, and my overall flexibility.
-April intention: Go on a walk at least 3x/week, continue to stretch 20 minutes before bed.
8. 2018 Goal: Be Creative
-March intention: Continue to make progress on my quilt. Finish up everything except the binding. And, finish my yarn wall hangings that I’ve had the materials for, for a couple months now. (wall hanging inspo here, and here, and here)
-Didn’t touch either one of these. So I’ll keep the same goals for April to see if I can make progress on them.

// So there you have it, my goals and intentions for April. I’m not going to lie, I’m loosing steam with these goals, if you couldn’t tell by about half of them not being finished. But, I need to push through because I know the ones I do complete I feel good about. I just need to hold myself accountable to them. I’ll be back in a couple weeks with a report on what worked/didn’t work, and my goals and intentions for May.
