I’m back to take a look at what worked and didn’t work for my February intentions and share what I’m doing in March to help reach my goals by the end of 2018
You can read more about my 2018 goals and intentions in this post.
1. 2018 goal: Less screen time, more learning
-February intention: Continue reading. Knock out another book.
-Done. I read Shopaholic Ties the knot. Don’t judge, I like light hearted, comedy fiction books. It does the job and gets me away from my screen.
-March intention: Read another book and find find 2 podcasts that interest me.
2. 2018 goal:Organize and simplify
-February intention: Organize and simplify our kitchen storage. Download pictures from January and February into their own albums.
-Done. We don’t have a lot of kitchen storage, so Travis built me a shelf in this nook area we have in our kitchen for more storage. With the extra shelf, I was able to rearrange a couple of our cupboards in a way that makes more sense for us. Instead of everything stacked on top of each other and jammed into spaces like before.
-Done. I finally got a new phone, and with that, I downloaded all my phone photos ontop my computer in their respective folders.
-March intention: Organize our dining room cupboards. When we moved in we just stashed away all the random crap we didn’t know what to do with in that cupboard. Download phone pictures from March onto my computer
3. 2018 goal: Finish our space
-February intention: Finish the kitchen. Organize baking supplies into glass containers. Maximize our cupboard storage, and go through our pantry to get rid of expired foods.
-Done. I bought these jars and some small mason jars to organize our grains, nuts, pasta, baking flours etc. Like i said before, with the addition of the shelf, I was able to more cleanly organize our kitchen. With that, I gave our pantry and refrigerator a good cleaning and reorganized everything. It’s like spring cleaning came early!
-March intention: Finish our Master bathroom. Decor wise, the only thing I want to finish is the shower curtain DIY I’ve had in the back of my mind since we moved in (inspiration)
4. 2018 goal: Adulting (fun I know.)
-February intention: Continue to follow the budget we made
-Done. Having a budget laid out in front of us is helping a lot. Mind blowing, I know.
-March intention: Finish my taxes. Continue to follow our budget.
5. 2018 Goal: Grow EAT healthy designs
-February intention: Now that we found a new printer for our shirts, get our shirts reprinted. Also, pay our sales tax, and research 3-4 markets we can attend this year.
-Half way done. We found 2 different markets (haven’t signed up because of scheduling conflicts – we are trying to get those figured out). We paid our sales tax (Thanks T Lowe!). We still haven’t got our shirts reprinted, so I’m going to break this goal down into smaller, more manageable goals because it’s two months in a row this hasn’t been checked off.
-March intention: Figure out what shirts need to be reprinted and a budget for reprinted those products. Post more regularly on social media (2x/week on Facebook and 4x/week on Instagram)
6. 2018 Goal: Continue to choose non toxic products that work for us.
-February intention: Test out non toxic cleaning products. My mom has been quite the chemist whipping up non toxic products of all kinds. Awhile back, she made surface cleaner but it had vinegar, and I wasn’t a huge fan of the smell. She recently made a new concoction that I’m trying out.. I’ll report back if it works and if I like it.
-Done. We both like our new non toxic, DIY cleaner. It works just as well as the Method all purpose cleaner I was using before, and it smells good too!
-March intention:We’re at the end of our TIDE laundry detergent, so I’m going to make the switch to Seventh Generation laundry detergent (found at Target) and test it out for a couple months.
7. 2018 Goal: Move More
-February intention: Continue to hit the gym 3x/week because this is a schedule I can keep and take 2 yoga classes.
-Done and not done. Making it to the gym 3x/week is doable for our schedule. It’s easier when you have someone keeping you accountable, and honestly it’s more fun to go with someone too. I was counting on going to the yoga classes at our gym, but I found out the cancelled the evening ones, and the ones on the Saturday’s I was free to go they replaced it with another class. I’m not ready to commit to another monthly fee for a yoga studio membership, so I’m going to have to improvise and find something else.
-March intention: Continue to hit the gym 3x/week, and take 20 minutes to stretch 3x/week before bed.
8. 2018 Goal: Be Creative
-February intention: Continue to make progress on my quilt. Finish up everything except the binding. And, finish my yarn wall hangings that I’ve had the materials for, for a couple months now. (wall hanging inspo here, and here, and here)
-Didn’t touch either one of these. So I’ll keep the same goals for March to see if I can make progress on them.

// So there you have it, my goals and intentions for March. So far I’m liking these small monthly goals. They keep me on track without being overwhelming. I’ll be back in a couple weeks with a report on what worked/didn’t work, and my goals and intentions for April.
