How we asked our bridal party

Let’s talk wedding party! The lineup: Trav has 1 best man, and 3 groomsmen and I have 1 maid of honor, 2 bridesmaids and a flower girl. We are not going to have a ring bearer. We (mostly me) created these boxes full of fun little gifts as a way to ask our bridal party to stand next to us on our big day. I knew I wanted to do cute boxes that were Hawaiian themed to go with our destination wedding, but not over-the-top-trashy-touristy Hawaiian. We went with more of a classy, tropical Hawaiian vibe. After searching through all the premade boxes on Etsy, nothing really fit exactly what I wanted. So I ended up just buying the different pieces and making my own boxes.

For all the boxes we included a luggage tag. We loved this idea because it would be functional beyond our wedding and was a nod to the destination part of our wedding. We went with leather for the guys and a fun floral design for the girls. For all of the boxes, minus the flower girls box, we added a Flight Survival kit that included chapstick, gum, sunscreen and aloe – all of it that we just picked up at Target. I’ve seen these carryon cocktail flight kits that would be fun, but 1 of our bridesmaids was under 21, and Trav and I aren’t big on drinking – so it would’ve been off brand for us (but would be fun if you’re looking for a destination wedding bridal party gift)

GUYS PROPOSAL GIFT BOXES

To finish off the gifts for the guys, we included these cool bottle openers that had the state of Hawaii cut out. We packaged everything up in kraft boxes, and included a card that said “GAME ON, will you be my groomsman / best man” that I whipped up in Photoshop. This was a nod to Trav and the fact that he loves playing video games

LADIES PROPOSAL GIFT BOXES

For the boxes for the ladies, we included bride tribe mugs (a tumbler for the flower girl), and Hair Ties wrapped around kraft paper that said “I can’t tie the knot without you.” It was around Christmas time when we gifted these, so I found the perfect Sugar Paper x Target white and gold boxes to put everything in, and wrapped it all up with pink ribbon.
