Everyone, meet Vettel aka the most spastic and cutest distraction ever. Vettel as in Sebastian Vettel, the 4 time world chamption Formula One race car driver, as in Trav’s favorite racecar driver. If I had my way it would’ve been Button or Kimi. Okay, Let me back up, I’ve always wanted a kitten of my own but didn’t really take the thought serious enough to go to the pound and adopt one. One night when Trav and I were at my grandmas for dinner my mom comes in the room and says “There’s a baby kitten outside meowing.” I went outside and immediately fell in love. Next thing I knew we were taking a kitten home.

We decided it was a boy and then decided on the name Vettel. A couple days later we took it to the vet to make sure it was healthy and get it shots. Turns out Vettel is a girl. Trav was a little upset but insisted her name still be Vettel. His logic: Well Vettel is just the last name. Can’t argue with that logic. Needless to say, she is healthy and has made herself right at home. The first night, we created a nice little bed on the floor for her, but she insisted on sleeping with us. I don’t think I really slept that first night in fear of rolling over on her. In the morning I remember mumbling something to the effect of “If this is what having kids is like, I’m never having kids.”
The vet said she was about 12 weeks and weighed a little over a pound. Here we are two weeks later and she has gained a little over a pound (we weighed her using the shipping scale!). She loves to sit still for the camera, gets jealous of our cell phones and ipad, loves to play with anything but her toys, has the cutest little meow, needs to know where we are at at all times, is a pro at scaling the curtains (they are currently tied up), and her favorite past time is begging for our food. And boy is she persistant! We love her to pieces.
