And you thought I was done with the kitchen organization – not quite! See part 1 here, part 2 here, and some inspiration here. If you are following along on Instagram you know I was debating between the square containers with a silver top or more cylindrical containers with a black top. Personally I was quick to jump on the black top ones and thought the black tops would win in an overwhelming majority in my IG poll. But! the silver tops won (not by much) and I think the minimalistic rectangle labels I got actually fit the square-ish containers better anyways.
The containers I ended up with are the same size as the Trader Joes spice containers, so it was a perfect fit. And don’t worry, I recycled all of the old spice containers. To finish off the cabinet, I grabbed a couple glass containers with bamboo tops to fit the more bulky stuff (baking powder, baking soda etc) and labeled them with a paint pen (like the containers in this post). These are similar to some I found from the container store for half the price! For reference I got the 600 mL ones.
This was a pretty easy, renter-friendly, makeover that made a huge impact. I love the minimalistic look of the labels and honestly it just makes me happy when I open the cupboard up! And I have to admit – the silver tops do look nice all lined up like this.
