THINGS I’M LOVING in august

I’ve received messages from so many of you asking for links to things I share on Instagram (hello Chom Chom I’m looking at you), so I thought it would be fun to do a monthly round up of links to what I’m loving / what has been most requested! So here is what I’m loving this month

Key Ring Bracelet – If your purse is a big black hole like mine, this makes finding your keys much easier-plus it’s cute. Also, make sure you get the “upgraded” version – it seems to be more sturdy.

Glass straws – I bought these silicone straws as a replacement for ya know, plastic straws. We already have stainless steel and glass straws that I love, but I just can’t get behind the silicone ones – at least not for my iced coffee. Trav seems to like the silicone straws better than the glass or stainless steel straws because he feels like he won’t stab his throat with it (so ya know, the silicone ones might be kid friendly). But either way, there are multiple options for reusable straws – so no excuses! (Here’s a link to those plastic tumblers)

Makeup remover cloths – While we are on the topic of being less wasteful, I’ve been using this Makeup Eraser cloth for a couple years now (I used to use the Neutrogena make up wipes). The makeup eraser works really well; all you do is wet it and wipe your face with it, it even works well for waterproof makeup! After a couple days use I throw it in the laundry and just wash with my colored clothes and let air dry. I found some on Amazon that work just as well, and aren’t quite as expensive.

CHOM CHOM – If you follow along on my IG stories, you already know this has been my favorite thing since I got it. If you have any pets that shed at all, you are going to want to get this right now – it is a lifesaver. It is a little pricy at $25, but it has been so worth it to get the hair and fur off all the furniture and blankets our cats sleep on. PS we still use the tear away lint rollers on our clothes, but aren’t going though nearly as many as before because we aren’t using them all up on the furniture.

Container Covers – I’ve used these for about a month now and actually really like them! Since we are trying to use less plastic in our household this is one of the things we found as a replacement for plastic wrap. We just throw them in the dishwasher after each use and they have held up great and are perfect for any size container.

Jewelry Cleaner – It’s been over two years since I got engaged and I’m still just as obsessed with my shiny ring as ever (Trav did real good). I try to clean it once a week with this jewelry cleaner to keep it nice and shiny. It was important to me to find a cleaner that was non toxic, but also one that I could use on different types of jewelry as well.

French Press – Cold brew coffee is my latest obsession and the french press is a game changer for cold brew. Fresh ground coffee beans + some water in a french press over night and boom you have some delicious cold brew coffee. Add some delicious oat milk creamer because it’s the right thing to do. PS I’m working on an all things cold brew post that should be up soon!

Adidas Cloud Foam sneakers – These have been my go to shoes since I got them. They are so light weight and comfortable. I’ve spent more on sneakers before and they don’t even come close to these. I’m usually a 7.5-8 in shoes and a size 8 fits perfectly.
